This manual is based on research originally developed by the Medical Device Cybersecurity Taskforce (MDCT). MDCT was founded by Sensato in 2016 as an open source community of hospitals, consultancies, and medical device manufacturers to develop and foster best practices in medical device cybersecurity. The MDCT later evolved into the Sensato Information Sharing & Analysis Organization (ISAO) at the request of the FDA.
